About Felix

Felix Aurelius (He/Him) is currently a 4th year undergraduate countertenor at The Juilliard School where he is pursuing his BM in vocal performance. He studies with soprano, Amy Burton. Felix hails from New Orleans, Louisiana as an alumnus of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. He maintains a fiery passion for repertoire in the early music scene, as well as for contemporary works. Recent performances of Felix’s include singing in the first Juilliard Pride Songbook last May, which he will be singing in again this coming year. He was also the second to premiere a song cycle for Countertenor and Piano, Three Encounters, by Timothy Peterson this past summer while attending Songfest 2024. He has also been filming for Pants Role Project, a film project founded by Theo Claveles focusing on the stories of Transgender and Nonbinary opera singers. This season, Felix will be making his role debut of Cherubino in The Juilliard School’s undergraduate production of Mozart’s, Le Nozze di Figaro in October, as well as his role debut of Miles in Juilliard’s production of Benjamin Britten’s, The Turn of the Screw in February. He will also be singing with Juilliard415 in a concert of German baroque chamber music in December.
